BELLA TOUMPA 2020

Roditis, a variety widely planted throughout Greece, is often thought of as a humble grape that yields unreserved quantities of unremarkable wines.

In truth, there are no lesser varieties. When cared for appropriately in the vineyard, Roditis too can deliver distinct and excellent wines.

With that in mind, Mr. Kirkos planted 0.5 ha of Roditis in Bella Toumpa, a region known as ‘White Hill’ in Amyndeon, way back in 1990.

The exposure of the vineyard block is north-west and it slopes slightly up to a 5% incline. The medium-textured soil is heavier than the norm for the area, while the presence of calcium carbonate (CaCo3) is noticeable.

This is a refreshing dry white wine with a surprisingly stunning nose, a result of great vineyard care and the use of high-quality grapes.

200 bottles will be released for sale exclusively through Warehouse 10.
