Α century ago, when Gustav Clauss vinified the varietal Mavrodaphne near Patra in South Greece, no one could predict that it would become of the most well-known varieties of Greece. Mavrodaphne, is known mainly for the production of sweet wines that resemble Port, but it can also provide exceptional dry wines.
The noble variety of the South, was first planted in Ktima Kir-Yianni Naoussa, in 2005. It took a lot of experimentation for the wine to be ready to get on the market. The 2017 vintage after fermentation and maturation in tonneuax for 12 months, has been finally released exclusively through the online wine platform Warehouse 10.
