KALI RIZA 2012
Kali Riza (aka Good Root) is the Kir-Yianni Xinomavro produced by old vines from Amyndeon. Kir-Yianni’s presence in the area counts decades and the purpose was to create a Xinomavro, that expresses the cold, mountainous terroir. Kali Riza was launched in 2009, and changed its label and bottle form in 2013, to pair with Ramnista, Kir-Yianni’s Xinomavro from Naoussa.
The 2012 harvest expresses the elegance of the autochthonous, pre-phyloxeric vines where it originates from. Refined tannins, high acidity and low alcohol, together with strong aromas of strawberry and cherry and a long fruity aftertaste, give us the elegant Xinomavro from Amyndeon that has a long way ahead of it.
