The Story of Warehouse 10
Warehouse 10 was originally built as a warehouse at the Kir-Yianni Estate in Yiannakohori in 1994. For a while it formed part of the Estate’s cellars where Xinomavro, Merlot, Syrah and other wines were laid down and left to mature in oak barrels.
But over time the needs of the winery outgrew the limited capacity of Warehouse 10 and a larger barrel vault became a requisite. In 2016 a new 1000 barrel-big underground cellar finally got inaugurated.
Now, a few vintages later, Warehouse 10 lends its name to Kir-Yianni’s namesake digital platform. Here wine lovers and friends of the Estate can gain unprecedented access to a cache of library labels, landmark bottles, rare vintages and special large format trophy wines that have been kept stored away behind lock and key.
