Ramnista has been for years the ambassador wine of Kir-Yianni and, for many, of the Naoussa Xinomavro itself. It is produced from selected blocks of the single vineyard in the Yiannakohori Estate in Naoussa.

The 2013 vintage was a milestone since the ideal weather conditions resulted in very good ripening of Xinomavro. Prolonged draught in combination with the high average temperature led to the early harvest of the grapes in the middle of September. The results of 2013 were great for Xinomavro! Intense color and strong aromatic profile, very good structure and full body with great ageing potential.

 Pre-2013 vintages, including the first 1994 release, are locked in the wine library of Kir-Yianni Estate in Yiannakohori.

With exuberant aromas of tomato and olive, earthy characteristics and a classy nose, accompanied by red fruits, round tannins, the 2013 Ramnista, skillfully highlights the ageing potential of superb Xinomavros and their transformation over time.
